One of the most imaginative minds alive retells the greatest stories in history - the Greek Myths The Greek myths are amongst the best stories ever told, passed down through millennia and inspiring writers and artists as varied as Shakespeare, Michelangelo, James Joyce and Walt Disney. They are embedded deeply in the traditions, tales and cultural DNA of the West. You'll fall in love with Zeus, marvel at the birth of Athena, wince at Cronus and Gaia's revenge on Ouranos, weep with King Midas and hunt with the beautiful and ferocious Artemis. Spellbinding, informative and moving, Stephen Fry's Mythos perfectly captures these stories for the modern age - in all their rich and deeply human relevance.

ONE OF THE MYTHOLOGY BOOK

Lauren - July 2021

Mythos tells you about the fascinating stories about the ancient Greek gods. Stephen Fry tells the stories so vividly that it feels like you're really there. My favourite story is either how Athena ( Goddess of wisdom, weaving, warfare, e.t.c ) was born from the head of Zeus (God of thunder, king of all god and goddess ) or love between Eros ( God of love ) and Psyche ( a mortal princess who's kingdom believes she is the Goddess of love 2.0 then is transformed into the Goddess of human soul). Some scenes are sad other are happy and even mysterious. I think it should be recommended to those who are 10 and over. Mythos is a great book for people who love mythology or want to know more about these incredible myths/stories.
