From the first page, The Bookshop Detectives takes you on a wonderful journey into the lives of Garth and Elouise, owners of Sherlock Tombs in Havelock North. With a brilliantly quirky array of characters, the writers, Gareth and Louise Ward, set the scene first with a highly anticipated book launch, (something they're clearly familiar with) then the mystery behind the murder of a local woman Tracy. It's got laughs and a plot that weaves like their dog Stevie through an agility course, and winding up with a fabulous finale. Well done both the authors and I look forward to more from these cops come booksellers.
