Increasing numbers of people in, or approaching, retirement are directing their attention to downsizing and seeking more time for leisure.

The key reasons residents gave in choosing this way of life were centred around having no more worries about maintenance, the promise of greater security and sense of safety, more scope for companionship and the convienience of on-site healthcare services. Brian laso learned that, in their quest to find out all about the criteria and conditions relating to moving into a village, a number of residents considered that there was little more information available than attending open days and perusing information packs handed out by sales staff.
While there is a wealth of information available about retirement villages on the internet, Brian recognised that many people would prefer a comprehensive, handy guide to choosing and living in a retirement village.
