Inspiring

All I can say is...WOW! Whilst not an easy read at times, I firmly believe that every NZer should read Stans memoir. What Stan has achieved is impressive and inspiring. He speaks openly and startlingly honestly about abuse, addiction and growing up in a family where love and violence were entwined. It's a story of hope, courage, mental wellbeing, faith and acknowledging who you are so you become all that you're meant to be. I highly recommend this book...not just for fans of Stan but everyone from 16 and above!
Every New Zealander Should Read This

All I can say is wow and that I firmly believe that every NZer should buy and read this memoir IMPOSSIBLE – it offers an insight into the life of many of our young people and their family/home environments, touching on incredibly sensitive topics that no one likes to discuss or will often acknowledge, but need to. What Stan has achieved despite all of life’s challenges so far in his young life, is unbelievably impressive and he is a real inspiration. It’s beautifully ghost-written (by Margie Thomson who wrote All Blacks Don’t Cry, The Resilient Farmer, Stand By Me, The Good Doctor) and it will not disappoint. I was the furthest you could be from a Stan Walker fan but I now find myself firmly in his Fan Camp
A Miraculous Journey

I read Impossible in one sitting - tears pouring down my face-in sadness, horror and awe. What Stan has been through- celebrity or no - what he has endured, and since become, who he is today, is nothing short of a miracle. I was truly touched by how important his family, culture and faith are to him…to be able to forgive such cruelty is beyond me. A wonderfully touching read.
